The Name of the band is "Onofatman" and it's pronounced: Oh No Fat Man. Onofatman is a four piece band hailing from the Golden Triangle. The current lineup — Blaine Duplecion on Vocals and Harmonica, Guitarist Dave Lathrop, Doc Bradford on Bass, and Drummer Mark Hidalgo. Blaine Duplecion adds the right energy and excitement as Lead Vocalist. With a wide variety of musical influences and a vocal range to match, his stage presence and expressive harmonica riffs give Onofatman an extra punch. Dave Lathrop, lead Guitarist, delivers solid lead lines with consistent rhythms that blend and compliment the band. His obvious skill is showcased by an awesome tone achieved with custom guitars he designs and handcrafts himself. Doc Bradford, on Bass, from Beaumont, Texas via Buna, Texas. He lays down an unwavering bass line and is one of the most in-demand bass players in the Golden Triangle area. He has had the pleasure to jam with many truly professional musicians over the years and it shows — in both his talent and technique. Mark Hidalgo has come a long way from his beginnings. Starting out playing pots and pans at the age of two, getting his first drum set at six, and joining his first band at fourteen, Mark has never looked back. His style keeps the band in the groove and motivates their great dynamics. His driving drum licks and passion for playing are revealed in each song. What do they play? Billed as "classic rock" and "blues", they perform the music they love in a Southern Blend. Moving in and out of rock, blues, country, jazz - or mixing them up - the band has carved out a place of their own and watched the size of their audiences steadily increase. As one fan puts it: "It's like a good gumbo, they throw everything into the pot and let the flavors simmer and blend."
But don't be too concerned with what sort of genre the band's music fits into. |
