What a wonderful weekend we had! We were honored to be able to hang with the LIVESTRONG Across America riders all weekend. If you were one of the awesome supporters, thanks so much for coming out to cheer these guys on and boost them on to the second half of their journey to raise awareness and money to fight cancer.
The LIVESTRONGAA team had a group of about 30 riders join them as they rode into Beaumont from Cleveland Friday and Saturday morning as they headed out for the second half of their journey. Thanks to all the riders for coming out to show support for the team. Also thanks to Mayor Becky Ames for introducing the riders at the reception and for giving them words of encouragement as they were leaving Saturday. Thanks also to Lorenzo for getting up at the crack of dawn to cook breakfast for the riders Saturday, to our Pearl for riding with them, to Jenny, Rachel and Amy for helping with decorating Calder and easys with signs, bows and balloons, to Mario for donating neat stuff for their goodie bags in behalf of Christus, to Chuck Mazock of Coastal Welding for donating and delivering the helium, Howard and Great American Cookies for the cookie cakes for the riders, Mobiloil Federal Credit Union for more goodie bag stuff, John Fulbright for photography, the band SiennaBlu for playing great music Friday night and everyone who came out and/or donated to LIVESTRONG Across America. Also to our neighbor, Alisha Manual of Farmers Insurance for the cool banner she had for the riders.
Keep logging onto www.livestrongacrossamerica.com to keep up with the guys on their way to Washington, D.C.

Great fun, great food, great friends. This ride was a true test both physically and mentally, and we passed. It was an experience of a lifetime and all for a great cause.
Thanks to Rhette, Seth, Amanda and Jo Lee for volunteering. Thanks to Laurie, Sarah and Pamela for the much needed massages. Thanks to all the easy riders for participating. And thanks to Karen and Wayne for making it all happen.

We had a great time doing the Pineywoods Purgatory ride in Lufkin this weekend. Most of us did 72 miles and I believe their were a few 100-milers from our group. The rain did a great job of taking our minds off the hills — and vice versa.
It was a real challenge. San Antonio to Corpus Christi should be a piece of cake after this.

The easy riders are gaining lots of monentum. As of August 30, we are the 4th largest team registered for this year's MS150 event. We are also holding spot #13 for fundraising. Want to see us bumped into the top 10? Why not give us a little push by making a tax deductible donation today?

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Kick-Off Party last Thursday.
We were pleasantly surprised by the number we had. Seven people signed
up that night and we now have a total of 26. We'll be cutting off
registration at the end of June, so you still have time to sign up.
