fun movies, great music, and easy money

What a great time we had last Thursday with our Evening Under the Stars. We were actually surprised how many people wore their bathrobes. How fun! It was standing room only on the patio and White Russians were the drink of the night. Make sure you go to our website and check out the photos. Thanks to Beth for coming out and taking shots for the Enterprise. She posted hers on the SEEN.

So, what's next, you might ask. Jackie Brown, I say.  Another Quentin Tarantino classic staring Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro. No, it's not a comedy, but it is a classic. The special drink of the night will be screwdrivers. (heh, it's the only drink they mention) And soon we will be starting our 1st Thursday Evening Under the Stars and we'll be focusing on foreign, avant garde and all time favorites. On this evening we will have two features so those of you who might not be able to burn the midnight oil can come out and enjoy dinner and a movie.

Friday, July 23rd we're featuring Coal Train on the porch. From bluegrass to light rock -- smooth sounds you'll enjoy. As they say, "Coal Train is not just a 'band', but rather a state of mind or a way of life".

Coming up in August we're hosting the Bark for Life so get yourself and your dogs in shape and walk to fight cancer. And speaking of our canine friends, we're thrilled that Phyllis will be coming for Yappy Hour to talk about the No Kill Shelter for Animals. It's really interesting all the different types of placements they are able to find for dogs where they are contributing to our communities. We'll keep you posted on both of these events.

Starting next week we will be having Trivia at the bar so pay attention when your bartender asks you trivial pursuit questions because they are giving away easy bucks to winners. These easy bucks are just like money so use them however you like -- drinks, t-shirts, dinners -- just not for gift cards or gratuity please. It messes up our bookkeeping and gives us grey hair. Another way to earn easy bucks is to be the first person to email me with the author of the quotes at the end of each email. This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it will come directly to me and I'm giving $5 in easy bucks to the winner.

We're thrilled that some of the crossovers are open on Calder making access somewhat easier if you are coming from North of Calder. Please, there is not visible signage on Calder that it is closed and we see people driving down it trying to enter easys from the front. Won't work. There is still a ditch between the road and our drive where they will put the sidewalk. Don't get frustrated. If you are north of Calder, take 7th or 8th Street to cross Calder to Broadway. Broadway is the road behind easys where our parking lot is. If you have trouble, just give us a call.

Thanks to Henrik and Malia, Jim & Clay, J. Murphy and A. Self & guests, B. Custer and friends, and all you wonderful people who come out and visit with us and enjoy easys.

And congrats to Howard and Amanda with the new backpack soon to be filled with a new baby. Try hiking the Grand Canyon with that.

Enjoy your week and we hope to see you soon,

Oliver and Olivia
